England National Team Director, Phil Collier today (22 March) announced the final 18 player squad to compete at the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women’s Lacrosse World Cup. This group of players will compete at Surrey Sports Park this July in the first home Lacrosse World Cup since 2001.
England reduced their 44 player squad to 26 in January 2017 before a 3 game tour to America and an International Test against Japan. The 18 player squad are able to continue their preparations for the Rathbones World Cup at the Rathbones Home Internationals April 7th – 9th hosted by Wales in Cardiff.
The Rathbones World Cup is less than 4 months away, England will take on Wales in the first fixture of the event directly after the opening ceremony on 12th July.
