Community Lacrosse Development Officers are based in a local authority or county and support identified lacrosse clubs, working with the community and local schools recruiting players and coaching lacrosse. Your role will involve working with children and adults of different ages in a variety of environments as well as coaching Club teams such as U15, U18 and senior teams.
The key role of a CLDO is to recruit players from schools, colleges and universities to join their club. You will work closely with club programme managers to develop lacrosse in the local area leading to increased participation across the country.
You will coach different forms of lacrosse depending on age range, this will be POP lacrosse for primary school children moving onto field and INTO lacrosse for secondary schools and universities. Along with coaching different age groups, you will be expected to referee/umpire games on weekends for these teams.
