School Lacrosse Officers are usually based at a girl’s lacrosse playing school, working with a variety of ages. You will be responsible for providing lacrosse games lessons and may also be asked to help with other games played at the school. You may also work with regional English lacrosse Regional Coordinators to develop lacrosse in the local universities to increased participation across the country.
You will coach different forms of lacrosse depending on age range, this will be POP lacrosse for primary school children moving onto field lacrosse; and INTO lacrosse if involved at universities. Along with coaching different age groups, you will be expected to officiate games for the school teams. Working as an SLO means you become part of the school system and therefore may be given pastoral duties such as becoming an assistant house mistress or covering other members of staff when required.
