The National Club Championships is an elite tournament intended to replace the current structure to establish a national men’s club champion. The National Club Championships will invite the best six men’s clubs teams from both the North and South of England Lacrosse Associations leagues.
The tournament will be played over a two-day period with teams competing for the Iroquois Cup, the traditional trophy awarded to the men’s national champion. The event will be held in Manchester in the lead up to the 2018 FIL World Men’s Lacrosse Championships, however the championships will move to different areas of the country in the future, to ensure that it becomes a truly national event. The champions of the Iroquois Cup will also represent England at the European Club Championships in September.
The National Club Championship will now only feature a game between Cheadle and Stockport at 2pm Sunday 7th June at William Hulme Grammar School.
