1st Home – establishment of a network for the women’s game

Following on from the successful women’s centenary lunch in 2013, attended by HRH, The Princess Royal, the Women’s Playing Committee (WPC) has been working on the establishment of a network for those who have been involved in the women’s game in England.

‘1st Home’, the proposed name, will be for anyone – players, ex-players, volunteers, coaches, umpires, spectators and/or administrators. The draft objectives of the network are to support the development of the women’s and girls’ game and to provide opportunities for us to keep in touch. Initially we will do this through an annual social event and, when the network is established, other ideas will be developed.

In order to provide this support to the women’s game there will be an annual subscription. If this concept is supported, the intention is to launch the network at an event in the House of Commons this summer. WPC would be grateful if you could take the time to answer a short survey to give us your views on this proposal, which we hope you will support.
