Women’s BUCS Lacrosse 2012-2013 – Premier North

Last week 3/3
Manchester 1st 3 – 16 Birmingham 1st
Newcastle 1st 6 – 9 Loughborough 1st
Edinburgh 1st 4 – 18 Durham 1st

Birmingham 1st v Edinburgh 1st

Birmingham, yet to lose a game and it will be hard to see another result than a home win. The last time these two sides met, Birmingham came out on top 17-2. Prediction: Birmingham

Loughborough 1st v Manchester 1st

Loughborough coming off a closer result than some would have guessed against Newcastle last week will want to reaffirm the third spot coming near the Christmas break. Having beaten Manchester in the last encounter (10-5), this looks like another home win. Prediction: Loughborough

Durham 1st v Newcastle 1st

Newcastle enter fortress Durham, which would be a tough test for any team. This match will be feisty with two North West teams battling it out, but Durham to remain unbeaten with a win in this game. Prediction: Durham

Women’s BUCS Lacrosse 2012-2013 – Premier South

Last week 0/1 (2 Postponed)
Southampton 1st 11 – 3 Oxford 1st

Bath 1st v Southampton 1st

With Southampton finally getting a win last week against oxford, this match will be crucial to both teams hoping to stay in the premier league. Home advantage with this one. Prediction: Bath

Oxford 1st v Bristol 1st

His is going to be a close game, with the last meeting going in favour of the oxford team by one goal. With home territory and needing a win after a surprise loss to Southampton, oxford to edge it. Prediction: Oxford

Cambridge 1st v Exeter 1st

Having their match against Bristol cancelled due to weather, Cambridge will go into the last game of the term against Exeter. The reverse match earlier in the season ended in a draw; however Cambridge will be looking to take the 3 points with a full squad available. Prediction: Cambridge

Men’s BUCS Lacrosse 2012-2013 – Premier North

Last week 1/1
Manchester 1st 4 – 14 Sheffield Hallam 1st

Sheffield Hallam 1st v Nottingham 1st

Hallam coming off the back of a good win against Manchester will look to lock down that second spot in the league with this home win against Nottingham who just above the drop zone. Prediction: Sheffield Hallam

Loughborough 1st v Sheffield 1st

The last time Loughborough took on a Sheffield team (Hallam), they were beaten. This time they face the Uni whom they have already beaten away this season. A home win for the midlands team. Prediction: Loughborough

Durham 1st v Manchester 1st

A tale of two different teams, one at the bottom of the table and the other soaring high at the top. A comfortable win for Durham. Prediction: Durham

Men’s BUCS Lacrosse 2012-2013 – Premier South

Last week 1/1 (2 games postponed)
Bristol 1st 16 – 8 Plymouth 1st

Plymouth 1st v Exeter 1st

A southern coast clash will see Plymouth play host to Exeter who ran out 12-3 winners in the last meeting. A closer score line, but an away win for Exeter. Prediction: Exeter

Oxford 1st v Bristol 1st

Top of the table clash, with oxford leading the way, chased by an ever improving Bristol side that has only lost one game (against oxford 6-9). This will be close again, we could say a draw but going to go with a home win. Prediction: Oxford
