After the news last week that current Board Member, Sallie Barker, has received an MBE for Services to Sport and Women’s Participation in Sport, we are also delighted to learn that ex-Board Member, Lynne Potts has also been awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours
Lynne was a member of the English Lacrosse Board for many years as Honorary Treasurer, until 2014 and has been a keen lacrosse enthusiast for many years in her spare time.
Lynne, a chartered accountant, is now Assistant Chief Officer at Greater Manchester Police and has been recognised with an MBE for Services to Policing.
She is responsible for the force’s support services including finance, people and workforce development, IT, business support and estates. She joined GMP in 2003 after previously working in a number of senior NHS roles and has been awarded for her continued dedication.
Everyone at English Lacrosse would like to extend our congratulations to Lynne for all her achievements are delighted that her efforts over many years have been recognised with this honour.
