St Georges school was founded in 1907 by Reverend Cecil Grant after Grant, his wife Lucy, staff and boarders moved from Keswick School in Cumbria to Harpenden.
The school was one of the first co-educational boarding schools in England and still continues to educate both male and female students between the ages of eleven and eighteen.
The schools successful development team’s hard work resulted in the building of a new sports centre which was opened by HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal in 2009.
Camp Experience & Opportunities
St Georges Triple Arrow camp runs solely as a day camp with no residential option. Throughout the four day camp, all campers will experience a full curriculum of lacrosse.
Campers from beginners to advance will be provided with coaching specific to their skill level to aid individual and personal progression.
**Please be aware that campers will not be provided with lunch whilst attending camp and a packed lunch must be brought by each camper on each day of camp.
Drop-off & Pick-up Arrangements
Drop-off and Pick-up for all campers will take place outside St Georges Chapel, located next to Lacrosse pitch L4 which can be seen on the downloadable map below. Parents can also utilise the designated drop-off and pick-up area located at the main entrance to the school on Sun Lane.
Parents are advised to access the pitches via the public entrance to the Chapel via Carlton Road.
Campers will need to arrive between 10:00am-10:30am on Monday July 25th for registration, registration will take place at the Pavilion located at the bottom of the playing fields.
From Tuesday onwards please ensure campers arrive at 8:45am for a 9:00am start.
Afternoon sessions will finish at 5:00pm, with pick-up between 5:15pm-5:30pm.
*Please be aware evening meals will not be provided for campers and they must be off-site before 5:30pm.
Final Day Arrangements-Thursday 28th July
All Parents/Guardians are invited to come and watch campers play from 2:00pm at the lacrosse pitches.
There will also be an opportunity for you to join the girls for a camp presentation which will take place at approximately 4:00pm.
If you are unable to attend the afternoon games or presentation, pick up will take place around 4:30pm-4:45pm.
Parking will be available opposite Lacrosse Pitch L4 at St George’s Chapel.
As a minimum all campers must ensure they bring the following to camp each day:
