On Sunday September 13th the annual Autumn 8’s Women’s Lacrosse tournament is making a change and stepping out onto the pitches at Malvern St James Sports and Fitness Centre rather than the University of Warwick where the tournament has been held in previous years. This tournament has proven to be a hit in previous years with teams coming from around the country to compete to claim the top prize.
The tournament offers the chance for not only established clubs but also university alumni teams to show their skills and battle it out against teams they might not encounter in the season. The most successful team having won the championship prize for the previous 2 years is the West Midlands team managed by David Abini. Squads are made up of 12 players with 8-a-side games played on short pitches, the format of which is yet to be decided. You have until 5pm on Tuesday 8th September to register you team on the English Lacrosse website.
Entry for this tournament is now closed.
