Team performance pushes Team England past the Czech’s

Team England progress to the semi-finals with 17-8 victory over the Czech Republic in a quarterfinal game at the Federation of International Lacrosse U19 World Championships.

Dane Carney led the team with three goals and two assists while Ryan Sweetman netted three goals, Danny Condron had two goals and one assist. Tom Harrison and Matthew Boyd each scored braces whilst Ryan Hunns, Jake Weddell, Josh Kinder and long poles Josh Hurry and Oliver Barrett each got on the score sheet to round off a great team performance from England.

Mike Connor started the game and made 8 saves in the opening two periods. He was replaced by James Hewitt at half time and James made four saves in the second half. Team England’s defence also played a key part in the victory playing a high pressure push they managed to get some vital caused turnovers for the team.

Team England will now face the top-seeded Team Canada in tonight’s semifinal.
