War Of The Roses set for this Sunday

Yorkshire Lacrosse will take on Lancashire in the classic Roses match, which has been revived for 2014. This will be the first time the fixture has been held since the early 1990s and Yorkshire, who are the current British National Lacrosse Champions, will be looking to take victory over their cross-Pennine rivals for only the second time in the history of the contest.

This fixture has been organised and hosted by the Yorkshire County Lacrosse Association, who are hoping that it will become an annual event in the Yorkshire calendar and may lead to a revival of more classic county lacrosse matches. Yorkshire and Lancashire will compete for the Greenwood Trophy on Sunday 26th October at 1.30pm at Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park in Sheffield. Spectators are welcome to attend.
