Hatch End Hawks

Clare Brown

Clare Brown, currently attends North London Collegiate School where she has played lacrosse for 5 years and is also a member of her local lacrosse club, Hawks. Two years ago Clare trialled for the U17 England Academy where she was selected and quickly got moved up to the U19 age group. Once in this squad Clare was selected to go on tour in the ‘B’ team last year to America. Although Clare did not believe there would be a big chance of her getting moved up to the World Cup squad, she did not let this affect her and she continued to train to her maximum ability. Clare’s talent was spotted and in November 2014 she was asked to train with the World Cup squad, resulting in a selection of Home Internationals and Tour. Clare’s fast rise through the academy system is a tribute to her rapid development as a player. She is a great 1v1 defender and almost impossible to beat on the crease. Her reading of the game improves constantly and without doubt she will continue to develop into a world class defender. A name to remember for the future.
