Katie Armstrong

International Experience
Katie represented England for the first time at the 2011 FIL U19 World Championships in Hannover, Germany. She has since gone on to represent Team England at the Home Internationals.

International Honours
Katie represented England in the 2011 FIL U19 World Championships (Hannover, Germany) as well Home Internationals in 2015.

Club/School/College/County (Territorial) Experience
Katie attended Wycombe Abbey and also played BUCS lacrosse at the University of Birmingham. Currently Katie plays for Newbury Royals and is excited to play for Surrey Jets in the 2016 Super League.

Q: At what age did you begin to play lacrosse?
A: 11 Years Old
Q: What’s your proudest Lacrosse moment?
A: Playing for England in the U19 World Cup.
Q: What are you most looking forward to at RWLC17?
A: Having lost to Canada in the bronze medal match in our U19 World Championship, I am really looking forward to playing them again at senior level.   They are always a physical team that challenges the England side. I can’t wait to show them what we have done to progress and achieve our goal of “Going for Gold”.
Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals/superstitions?
A: No not really – I listen to music to pump myself up.
Q: What’s your “Weapon of Choice” favourite lacrosse stick?
A: I am currently playing with the Brine Empress.
Q: What is your favourite quote?

Q: What is your favourite food (s)?
A: I love all food but chocolate is my weakness
Q: What is your favourite music/band (s)?
A: I have quite a broad taste in music, but generally I am very mainstream. I like the top 40 but also love R’n’B.
Q: Who is your favourite sports hero (s)?
A: Amber Flacone and Jessica Ennis-Hill
Q: What is your favourite movie (s)?
A: Remember the Titans
Q: What is your favourite TV show (s)?
A: Oh god, I watch a lot! Suits, a Question of Sport, a League of their own, Top Gear and Game of Thrones.

Interesting fact….I auditioned to be an extra in Holby city…I didn’t get it!
