Michael first gained International experience in the summer of 2008 representing England U19s in Coquitlam Canada, playing through the midfield and facing-off for the team. Mike’s tournament highlight was beating Australia in the group stage 12-11. After University, Michael returned for England and competed at the 2012 European Championships in Amsterdam, helping the team retain the Gold medal. He competed at the 2014 World Championships in Denver where England placed 5th.
Michael has been included in the 23-man squad for the forthcoming 2016 European Championships.

Club/School/College/County (Territorial) Experience
Michael learnt to play lacrosse at Timperley as a junior and gained Lancashire county honours as an U16, U19 and Senior. In 2008, Michael went to Sheffield University where he continued to play for both the NEMLA and the BUCS teams. In his first year Michael helped the BUCS team complete a perfect season, winning the BUCS Championship on the way. On the NEMLA front Michael played a central role in the team’s back-to-back promotion return to the Premiership and won 4 cup trophies in 3 years in the process. In his final year Michael co-captained the side and also won Yorkshire Player of the Year. After graduating Michael returned to Timperley for the 2011-12 season. In May 2012 Michael co-captained Lancashire to British Nationals success lifting the Nick Kehoe trophy and continues to play and captain the first team at Timperley LC.
