U19 Women

Taya Jackson

Taya Jackson, graduated from The Lady Eleanor Holles School this past June, with the hopes of starting at Birmingham University this September. Since Taya started playing lacrosse in year 7, she has been part of three national school finals, and alongside Feenie she captained the team during the 2014-2015 season. In both 2014 and 2015, Taya was named midfielder of the tournament. After getting such an impressive achievement Taya went on to take part in county trials expecting to make the U18 ‘A’ team in 2014, but unfortunately she did not. This did not affect her and in order to overcome this selection she became more determined to achieve in other areas of her lacrosse. Taya represented England at three Home Internationals, and was selected for three tours, eventually becoming Vice-Captain of the U19 World Cup Squad. Taya, a school midfielder, has really settled to become a key pillar of our team attack. A fantastic feeder, expect her to be setting up lots of goals this summer. She has mastered the art of free positions (she gets enough practise!) and will be a live wire in the attack.
