English Lacrosse National Talent Development Manager Jane Powell has published a set of recommendations following a major review of Team England’s approach and performance at the 2014 FIL World Championships in Denver.
The review was completed by interviewing and gaining and feedback from coaches, players and support staff following the completion of the World Championships and directly mirrors the review that was conducted for the women’s game in 2013. The review recommendations will advise of changes to be implemented leading up to the 2016 European Championships in Hungary and beyond.
Powell commented – “It’s a very exciting time in English Lacrosse history and the recommendations will help us springboard into the next 5 years. “Recognising the need to ‘do things differently’ for greater effect is key at this time. “I would like to thank those who contributed to the review, as they had a a real desire to see our sport continue to grow and be more successful.”
