The schedule for this summers 2016 ELF European Lacrosse Championships in Budapest, Hungary has now been released by the ELF. Team England’s campaign will start with a huge tie against long-time rivals Germany in the curtain raiser for the event on Thursday July 28th following the opening ceremony.
Team England will face the other Pool A contenders the Czech Republic on Saturday July 30th. Should Team England progress as group leaders they will face the 2nd place team in Pool C which contains other championship hopefuls Sweden and Israel.
The opening game will be tough test for Team England, the German’s also come into the championships as title challengers having made the final 4 times, facing Team England on each of those occasions. Team England has won the tournament a total of 8 times the last championship coming in 2012 beating Ireland 15-5 in the final in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

In Pool B the other home nations start their European campaigns with Wales facing Austria and Scotland facing Ireland in a headline fixture between arguably the groups two strongest teams. Scotland and Wales will face each other on Tuesday August 2nd.
