North Regional Officer
The World Championships is now behind us and all we can do is have the memories of a wonderful experience and a great time for English Lacrosse.
The event has created a host of opportunities for the game going forward and with the new season rapidly approaching it is important that we move quickly to maximise this potential.
The unfortunate circumstances that sadly forced Tom Severatne to relinquish his post with English Lacrosse has left a serious gap in the organisation’s development staffing structure but with the huge question marks and uncertainties over sports funding going forward it is not felt prudent to fill this post on a permanent basis . In the short term we have asked Alan Holdsworth to take on the responsibilities of North Regional Officer and he has agreed to do this We would plan to reassess the situation at the end of October when the results and effects of funding cuts will hopefully be known.
David Marsden , the ELA Co –President, has agreed to Chair the MPC meeting scheduled for 21st September.
