English Lacrosse Volunteer Conference
Saturday 8th May saw the first annual English Lacrosse Volunteer Conference at the Corus Hotel Solihull. The day brought together 44 club volunteers from 22 clubs, from Kent to Oldham, to develop the volunteer and to enhance the vital work that they do.
The event was opened by Mark Coups, English Lacrosse Director of Development, whole outlined the key objectives in the vision for lacrosse and the challenges and opportunities they present to volunteers and clubs.
The central section of the day was taken up with workshops concentrating on finance, recruitment and workforce development. The sessions focused on information dissemination, group tasks to solve problems and the sharing of good practice.
