England Win Warm Up Game

The England U19 Team played their first warm up game in Philadelphia yesterday against club side Mesa Fresh LC.

In hot conditions and with the long flight the day before, the team got off to a slow start. In the third quarter, the team found themselves 7-3 down. The boys dug deep, the never say die attitude of the team shone through as they slowly turned the game round to win 8-7. England managed to hold onto the slender lead despite being, due to penalties, two men down in the last few minutes of the game. The Goalies had solid games along with the defence giving up only 7 goals. In attack chances were created but not finished until the second half. Plenty to work on with the team finishing the game very strongly.

Scorers:

Zac Guy 3
Danny Ives 2
Max Sandy 1
Tom Giddings 1
Greg Rowlinson 1
