CANADA V’s ENGLAND

The England U19 team took on the home team Canada knowing this would be a hard game. Whilst we won our fair share of possession from the face off Canada's superior stick skills and in particular their ability to pick up and retain the ball under pressure saw Canada win 26-7.

After going 5 - 0 down in the first quarter England settled down scoring 2 goals in the second quarter. The score line at half time was 10 - 2 but the third quarter saw Canada score 9 goals to England's 2. The last quarter saw England continue to work hard scoring 3 goals.

The players attitude and application throughout the game was excellent and whilst this was a heavy defeat the team showed they are continuing to learn to play at a higher level and intensity.

Saturday sees England take on the old enemy Australia.
