England V's USA

England took on favourities USA on the back of two hard games. The quality of the opposition and the number of injuries the squad have combined to see England lose 24-4. Dan Grime in Goal had an outstanding game making 26 saves. With injuries leaving the side somewhat depleted the fit players put in some overtime. Chris Summers led the way putting a huge amount of game time in midfield.

This was always going to be a difficult game for the players but they will have learnt something as they continue to improve playing at this high level of international lacrosse.

England take on Germany today for a place in the semi finals. Face is 4:00pm (midnight GMT).

England injuries are not serious but with playing every day bumps and bruises take there toll. A full roster should be available to the coaches thanks to continuing excellent work of the physios Pauline Atkinson and Georgie Davies. The exception to this will be Tom Giddings who will sit out this game to give his injured shoulder time to recover.
