Job Opportunity- Team Durham Graduate Assistant

Durham University is seeking to recruit a Graduate Assistant to combine lacrosse coaching, sports development and postgraduate study. This is a unique two year opportunity, to complete a masters degree in two years at a prestigious academic institution while also coaching and playing for one of England’s top lacrosse teams.

The Graduate Assistant role will include:

 

Lacrosse:

·         Assisting the Senior Coach in the coaching of the three women’s University (varsity) Lacrosse teams

·         Working with the Senior Coach to deliver a coaching programme to a growing number of intra-mural teams

·         Working with the Senior Coach to deliver and develop the Team Durham Junior Lacrosse  Academy programme

 

Sports Development:

·         University Club development

·         Managing and developing intra-mural programmes

·         Sports marketing and alumni development and support

 

The Graduate Assistant will be expected to work undergraduate term time only – 32 weeks of the year.

 

The Graduate Assistant will be provided with the following package:

 

  • Not less than £250 per week
  • Free accommodation in one of Durham’s 16 Colleges
  • All part time postgraduate course fees paid for in any of the following subjects:

1.    M.A. Management

2.    M.A. Marketing

 

Start Date: September 7th
