Enter your University team into the 2010 University Lacrosse Challenge.
As part of the 2010 World Lacrosse Championships English Lacrosse will hold the 2010 University Lacrosse Challenge, the Tournament will take place on Monday 12th July at the site of the main championships.
. Overview of the competition
- Cost of entry is £250 per team
- The competition will be open to 16 teams based on a first come basis.
- Maximum squad size of 18.
- Group will be drawn at random (there will be no seeding).
- Teams must be made up of students registered at that institution in the academic year 2009/10.
- Teams must pay the full fee on entry (closing date 31st March 2010).
- Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games.
- There will be a Championship and Plate winners
- All teams will be given an exclusive 2010 souvenir tee shirt
Rules
Games will be played under FIL rules (with the following exceptions)
Squad size will be a maximum of 18 players.
Games will be made up of two fifteen minute halves with a 5 min break for half time.
Each team must provide 1 referee per game.
10 points will be awarded for a win, 5 points for a draw and 1 point for each goal scored.
Teams must have access to an alternative colour playing kit.
The top two teams in each group will go forward into the Championship the bottom to will move into the Plate Competition.
