Membership FAQ

Q: How does the English Lacrosse registration and database system work?

A: The database is a collection of profiles created by the members online. Each member can login to his or her profile at any time in the future and update their details. Club secretaries have access to all the profiles in which members have “tagged” themselves to that specific club, and manage their members as a unique group. Members can keep their coaching/playing/refereeing records and qualifications on their profile and update them whenever they wish. The English Lacrosse Executive Committee has decided that registering online should be mandatory for all players and volunteers on an ongoing basis.

Q: If I registered using the English Lacrosse online system last year do I have to re-register this year?

A: No, once you have registered your membership is simply rolled over year on year.
Tip: Keep your member profile up-to-date, with address changes or new volunteer/coaching qualifications.

Q: Is it possible that I am registered already without my knowledge?
A: Yes. Club Secretaries often register new players on their behalf. You can check and see if you are registered by searching your club membership on the English Lacrosse master registration list here. NB If you are not a member of a particular club you can always register as an "independent".
Tip: If you find you have been registered by a third party, contact your club secretary, or English Lacrosse Head Office, and find out your personal login details. That way you can make sure your profile is up to date.

Q: When do I have to be registered by?

A: Anyone intending to play, referee, coach or volunteer in the game at any level should be registered before they particpate in any organised lacrosse activity.

Q: Do new club or university sides get additional time to get their registrations organised?

A: Yes. Contact English Lacrosse Head Office and we will work with you to ensure that your club is in compliance as soon as possible.

Q: Do junior programmes get additional time to get their members registered?

A: Yes. We understand that registering juniors is a greater challenge than registering senior players and volunteers. Contact English Lacrosse Head Office and we will do our best to help.
Tip: Try and get a list of your junior players’ names into Head Office, via email, if you are really struggling with registering your juniors.
