The National Club Championships is an elite tournament intended to replace the current structure to establish both a national men’s and women’s club champion. The National Club Championships will invite the best two men’s and four women’s clubs teams from the North and South and South West Lacrosse Associations. The tournament will be played on Sunday 15th May with the men’s teams competing for the Iroquois Cup, the traditional trophy awarded to the men’s national champion. And the women’s competing for the Women’s National Club Trophy.
The event will be held in Manchester in the lead up to the 2018 FIL World Men’s Lacrosse Championships, however the championships will move to different areas of the country in the future, to ensure that it becomes a truly national event. The champions of the men’s and women’s games will also represent England at the European Club Championships in September.
Schedule Sunday 15th May:
Womens Match: Oxton v Bristol Bombers (2:00pm Draw)
Mens National Club Championship: Stockport v Spencer (2:00pm Face-off)
