Getting to know Lucy. . .

Q: At what age did you begin to play lacrosse?
A: 11

Q: What are you most looking for to at RWLC17?
A: I think that the atmosphere at the first game will be absolutely amazing – having the chance to start the tournament on home soil with the whole country behind us is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Q: What’s your proudest Lacrosse moment?
A: Winning National Schools was a very emotional moment for me, as it is such an intense tournament you always invest a lot in it and it was therefore a great feeling to come out on top. My experience at Europeans also made me very proud, as it gave me my first proper taste of what it’s like to represent your country at an international level.

Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals/superstitions?
A: I am quite superstitious in terms of preparing for the game; I always have to check my bag at least three times in the changing rooms and everything has to be in its exact place for me to be relaxed going out onto the pitch. During the game, I get pretty superstitious about stick taps – after pretty much every goal I have to tap sticks with at least three defenders.

Q: What’s your “Weapon of Choice” favourite lacrosse stick?
A: Brine Eraser

Q: What is your favourite quote?
A: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” Babe Ruth

Q: What is your favourite food (s)?
A: I have a very bad sweet tooth.

Q: What is your favourite music/band (s)?
A:  HNNY and Elf Kid but also a big fan of soul and reggae

Q: Who is your favourite sports hero (s)?
A: Devon Wills as she is the best goalkeeper in the women’s game probably ever.

Q: What is your favourite movie (s)?
A: American Beauty

Q: What is your favourite TV show (s)?
A: Grey’s anatomy and house of cards
