Olivia (Liv) Wimpenny, went to Birkenhead School as a sports scholar before starting at Manchester University in September 2014. Liv has played lacrosse since year 7 and was selected for U19 North at the age of 13. Since then Liv has captained her club team (Oxton) at all age groups, her county U18 team and U19 North. At the age of 16 Liv was selected to represent Senior England at the Europeans where she was part of the team who achieved a gold medal, later on that season she was selected as a reserve for the Senior World Cup.
Liv co-captained the England U19 side to a bronze medal at the 2015 U19 World Championships in Edinburgh where she scored three goals in the bronze medal play-off against Australia and was subsequently named to the U19 Tournament All-World Team.
Since playing for England, Liv has been selected for two senior and two U19 Home Internationals, as well as two senior and two U19 tours to America. With all her experience Liv leads the attack with drive and passion. A great dodge and finish, driving has become her art-form, even when she ends up with ‘special attention’ from the other team, which is a frequent occurrence.
