English Lacrosse runs talent development programmes for both girls and boys through an Academy system. These systems have played an important role in raising the performance of our junior players, and contributing to the success of our national teams at U19 and senior levels.
English Lacrosse now wishes to build upon this progress and develop its talent development system further, retaining the best elements of the current programmes and taking into account best practice from high performing sports. The English Lacrosse Association has agreed a new Talent Development and Elite Performance plan for both the men’s and women’s game.
How do I move up the Talent Pathway?
As the diagram shows, from RA activity there is the opportunity to progress on to take part in the English Lacrosse Regional Tournament , for your age group. Players will be continually assessed across all of these stages, before the final selections are made for the England U17 and U19 squads.
