Overall role descriptor The chosen candidate will be working in a small team to help with support and deliver the English Lacrosse event strategy in conjunction with 2017 and 2018 World Events.
Skills Required
  • Previous experience in an Event Assistant role and PR
  • Proven knowledge of computer software including Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Planning and time management skills.
  • Driving license with access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work out of normal office hours (including late nights and weekends)
  • Prepared to travel within the UK
  • Committed, dynamic & productive

  • English and Math GCSE level or equivalent.

Main Duties
  • Assist the Events Coordinator in managing the logistics and planning of priority events ran by English Lacrosse.
  • Work with the Event Coordination and Communication Office to ensure effective marketing, promotion and communications for all events.
  • Provide administration and support for events identified throughout the Lacrosse calendar which would include both the 2017 and 2018 World events.
  • Manage relationships with the volunteers and English Lacrosse staff in the build up to events.
  • Gather content and commutate marketing/general information via the website and social media channels
  • Work alongside the events coordinator in developing relationships with key partners in preparation for hosting the world cup events.
  • Support and assist the events manager on all other events and ad hoc requests
