English Lacrosse Annual Coaching Clinic

Portsmouth Coaching Clinic
English Lacrosse will be running the 2nd annual coaching clinic hosted at Portsmouth University. The clinic this year will be open to both male and female players from universities and clubs in the South of England.

This coaching clinic is specifically created to help intermediate – advanced players further develop their individual skills, as well giving all participants the tools to improve their whole team. It will focus on the principles of attack and defence, full field tactics, and individual skill masterclasses delivered by some of the UK’s top coaches.

 Who can come?

Anyone over the age of 16 who is of intermediate – advanced skill level. (If you’re not sure of your skill level please e-mail for advice.)

Date & Location:

Sunday 27 November 11am-3pm at Portsmouth University, Furze Lane, Portsmouth, Southsea PO4 8LW

Please arrive no later than 10.45am for registration.


The coaching clinic will cost £10 for the day.

What will I need to bring?

You’ll need to come dressed in sports clothes ready for a day of lacrosse. Please make sure you bring your full kit, stick and gumshields. Please also make sure you bring enough water for the day, as well as lunch.

Pete WilsonPeteWilson

A level 3 qualified coach, Pete has coached the South West University team for the last 3 years as well as assistant coach of the England Development Squad and University of Bristol offensive coach.

Pete has also represented the South of England, English Universities and Bristol Bombers.

Karli MacKendrick

A level 2 qualified coach, Canadian, Karli is University of Bristol Women’s Head Coach and South West Junior Regional team coach.

As a player, she represented Canada at the 2009 U19 World Cup and played for 4 years in the NCAA Div 1 at Vermont, USA.
