English Lacrosse runs talent development programmes for both girls and boys through an Academy system. These systems have played an important role in raising the performance of our junior players, and contributing to the success of our national teams at U19 and senior levels.
English Lacrosse now wishes to build upon this progress and develop it’s talent development system further, retaining the best elements of the current programmes and taking into account best practice from high performing sports. The English Lacrosse Association has agreed a new Talent Development and Elite Performance plan for both the men’s women’s and games. The details are currently being finalised and information on the new system will be released over the coming months. However, the one immediate change in the women’s programme is the introduction of open trials for the U19 Squad in the build-up to the 2015 World Cup.
The information below refers to the current programes which will continue for season 2013/14.
