English Lacrosse has recently joined forces with Sportsleaders UK in a bid to try and attract more new young volunteers to the game.  English Lacrosse will participate in the referrals system for Sportsleaders UK.

This system enables young persons who complete their community young leaders awards to then choose a National Governing Body Award.  English Lacrosse will offer its Young Leaders Award to all Sportsleaders UK graduates this May.  The award will teach these young volunteers the necessary skills to deliver pop lacrosse sessions and organise school festivals and tournaments.

The programme is sponsored by the Government's "Step into Sport" scheme, which English Lacrosse supports in its efforts to deliver a national volunteer strategy.
