Step into Sport
English Lacrosse is part of the leadership bolt on modules for young people. The course introduces young people over the age of 15 into leading lacrosse sessions under supervision. 
This is a one day course.
Cost: £15
Level 1
This is a one day module designed around how to:
· deliver, plan and review a coaching session
· understand the basic principles of attack and defence
· understand how to develop basic skills
· understand how to develop basic decision making skills
· gain knowledge of health & safety, child protection and risk assessment
Cost: £50 Adult
£40 Student
Level 2
This is s 2 day course designed to:
· Deliver the field games of lacrosse
· Deliver a series of field lacrosse practices for women’s and men’s field lacrosse
· Deliver a training plan for the athletes involved in the game of lacrosse
Cost: £95

Level 3
This is a four day course designed to:
· Develop the coach to be able to oversee the delivery of multiple coaching plans for field lacrosse by a group of coaches
· Develop the knowledge to oversee and implement a series of high performance coaching sessions over an extended period to a selected group of athletes
· To oversee, mentor and assist in the development of other coaches
Cost: £200
NVQ L2 Coaching Teaching and Instructing (City and Guilds)
This is a 2 hour evening class over 8 weeks available for all people with no formal sport qualifications based in the North West. The course will run from late April to June (final dates to be decided). Candidates will come out with and NVQ CTI with a Lacrosse focus. The course will be run out of Trafford College and will be free as part of the Train 2 Gain initiative.

Officiating
Supported by Youth Sport Trust, Sport England, Skills Active and Sports Officials UK
The Young Official Award
This course is available for clubs and schools to run for young people to gain knowledge and practical experience of officiating. The course is designed around young people gaining experience of officiating in POP Lacrosse.

Women’s Umpiring
Apprentice Course
This course provides:
· the basic knowledge to umpire in a game of women’s lacrosse
· umpire pack (rule book, whistle and cards)
· log in to online test
· log book
· assessment (minimum 3 games logged before assessment for Level 1)

Level 1
Practical assessment and feedback for all Apprentice Umpires once they have had 3 games signed off and completed the online test.
Cost: £5
Level 2
A one day course to build up the knowledge of an umpire to enable the official to lead umpire at the following levels:
· Senior National Schools (U19 A)
· County
Cost: £50
Refresher Courses
These are for qualified umpires who need brining up to date with the rules and a re-test.

Men’s Refereeing
Level 1
This course provides:
· the basic knowledge to officiate in a game of men’s lacrosse
· on line rule book
· on course test
· Referee Association Badge
This is the minimum level to officiate in junior, club and BUCS fixtures.
